Trees Revisited A special thought should surely be given to all the lovely, lonely trees that give us shade, fruit and scent. The trees stand out in storm and rain and wind that lashes limbs about. All the trees can't come indoors, that's plain, although a few do, that have some clout. The sun beats down in sumertime. The heat is quite intense. The trees, they have to take it all, whatever is given by nature, immense. The trees, they anchor all the earth. We do, or should appreciate their worth. We're grateful and indeed are they, as the wind ruffles the leaves you can almost hear them say a murmuring "Thank you, God," every day. 12-21-88
